Welcome to Wylie United Methodist Church

(Rich History and Exciting Future)

Wylie United Methodist Church truly is a family of believers where JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! Our church was founded as a small country church in 1904 with 29 charter members, and while we remember and celebrate our past, we are more excited about what God has in store for us in the Future. Pastor Jeff Hatcher has been the pastor since September 2002 and the church is growing and excited. Wylie Methodist Church exists to, "LOVE GOD. LOVE PEOPLE. OFFER CHRIST."

We offer a blended worship service at 10:30am every Sunday morning and the message always comes from the Word of God. We have vibrant children and youth ministries as well as opportunities for adult fellowship, discipleship and service. We have a local ministry focus as we love on the poor and disenfranchised in our community. Wylie United Methodist Church has had a storied history with God proving Himself to be faithful, and we believe the best is yet to come. We are eager to welcome you into our church family. Come celebrate Jesus with us this Sunday and experience the joy of being His people for yourself.

Ministry of Apostle Paul

SERMON SERIES

Whether we realize it or not our culture is wrestling with the question, Is truth absolute or relative? In other words, do we discover what is true or do each of us define what is true for ourselves? And whether you realize it or not you have to answer that question for yourself. No one else can answer it for you. And to not answer the question, is to have already answered it.

The apostle Paul believed in absolute truth. As we’ve learned the past few weeks here is what happened Immediately after Saul (who later was known as Paul) encountered the risen Jesus and was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. “At once [Saul] began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.” (Acts 9:20).

This Sunday we will wrap up this series with the message, “A man of Truth”. Come and learn how Saul was transformed into Paul and became this man filled with the passion and purpose to proclaim with boldness for the rest of his life that “Jesus is the Son of God”.
